The Moondrop Venus headphones are equipped with a 100mm diameter diaphragm, only 2 microns thick, covered with a printed layer of pure silver measuring 1 micron. This allows the headphones to deliver a wide dynamic range while reproducing the finest details characteristic of any music. The use of a printed circuit board made of pure silver helps limit thermal losses. The mechanical stresses applied to the Venus membrane are completely uniform, and the remaining part of the wiring is integrated into the fixed part of the membrane. This limits the level of distortions that may be caused by residual vibrations and provides sound quality close to electrostatic headphones.

The Venus features an array of 18 one-sided N52 magnets with high remanence levels. Through the FEA optimization system, the magnetic field parallel to the membrane is evenly distributed, further reducing residual and nonlinear vibrations.

The Venus speaker design must withstand high loads due to the large number of N52 magnets used. To avoid any deformations, the entire structure requires the use of carefully machined CNC aluminum alloy. Therefore, the Moondrop Venus features a unique internal cavity with an integrated structure, ideal for a large diaphragm that needs to be installed in a small volume while efficiently limiting the overall weight of the headphones and providing excellent structural rigidity to withstand 36 neodymium magnets. This special design not only allows high-quality components to be integrated into limited space but also facilitates headphone maintenance if needed.

The Venus uses a patented combined waveguide structure that minimizes phase interference from the magnetic grid during high-frequency transmission, avoiding any negative impact on the volume and efficiency of the magnetic circuit.

After the membrane is molded, the tension is released and then aligned for a second time. This additional process reduces the nonlinear distortion of the membrane under high pressure by at least 95%. The frequency response of the Venus fully matches HRTF, and the level of nonlinear distortion is less than 0.05%. Distortions remain extremely low even at high load levels.
