One common issue with multi-driver IEMs is the phase inconsistency between drivers due to underdeveloped crossover circuits, which can cause soundstage and tone differences among drivers.
Redesigned 8 Driver Triple Crossover Architecture
The MOONDROP S8 features a redesigned crossover with Sonion37 series dual drivers with added back volume, Knowles SWFK dual high drivers, and our own proprietary customized Software D-MID-B dual midrange drivers. The triple crossover has been finely tuned for outstanding audio quality.
Selected High/Low Frequency Drivers
The bass driver features an extra back volume design for enhanced diaphragm movement, providing deep bass response similar to dynamic drivers but with faster transient response. The treble is handled by the Knowles SWF, offering a flat, smooth, and detailed treble tone with low distortion and high cutoff frequency.
Proprietary Customized Midrange Driver for "MOONDROP" Style Midrange Tuning
Building on the unique midrange tuning of the previous A8 model, we have developed our own mid balanced armature driver for the S8. This driver is designed to deliver a natural, gentle vocal and mid-high performance with improved sound imaging compared to the A8.
