M-Audio AIR 192 | 6 USB Audio Interface

The M-Audio AIR 192 | 6 is a professional USB audio interface belonging to the AIR series. The device has 2 inputs and 2 outputs and is a mid-range model in the series. This device features 24-bit A/D and D/A converters capable of operating at sample rates up to 192 kHz, allowing for recording and playback in the highest quality format currently available. The unit is designed for use in home studios, small recording studios, and is also suitable for field work as it does not require a separate power source and is powered via USB.

This model offers two inputs, designed with Combo Jack/XLR connectors that can accept microphone, line-level, and instrumental audio signals. Phantom power +48V is provided for these channels, necessary for condenser microphones, and the instrumental mode is suitable for musical instruments with active electronic systems. There is also a 4-segment input level indicator that promptly notifies of any overload. For passive electric guitar or bass guitar pickups, there are two dedicated instrument inputs on 1/4'' Jack TS connectors, which are also assigned to channels 1 and 2. High-quality Crystal preamps handle the microphone signal processing, characterized by extremely low self-noise levels and can amplify up to +55 dB without introducing distortions or artifacts.

Connection to speakers, studio monitors, or other devices is made through two balanced outputs on 1/4'' Jack TRS connectors. The headphone output is also on the same connector. Both the main output and headphone output have separate volume controls, as well as the ability to enable direct monitoring of the input signal. Connection to various samplers, romplers, drum machines, groove boxes, and other equipment is possible via the MIDI interface, which features input and output on standard 5-pin connectors. Connection to the computer and power supply is done via a high-speed USB-C port. Supported platforms include Windows 7 (or later) and macOS 10.8 (or later).

The M-Audio AIR 192 | 6 is a compact and convenient USB audio interface that offers the essential functions for sound work while ensuring professional quality in all aspects, allowing for studio-quality recording. The package includes USB-C to USB-A and USB-C to USB-C cables, license keys to activate Pro Tools First M-Audio Edition and Ableton Live Lite software, plugin bundles, virtual instruments such as Eleven Lite, Creative FX Collection Plus, AIR Virtual Instrument, and 2GB of Touch Loops samples.
