The Loewe Inicio is a bookshelf version in the new flagship line of high-end passive speakers from the German brand Loewe.
Design and Construction
The Loewe Inicio is housed in a compact yet sturdy cabinet, handcrafted at the factory in Kronach, Germany. Unlike the larger floor-standing model Grand Inicio, this speaker is designed to be placed on stands or shelves, providing monitor-like sound accuracy in medium-sized rooms.
Technological Features
Despite its compact size, the Inicio is equipped with components of uncompromising quality:
- Mid/Low driver: 6.5-inch driver from the Danish company Purifi Audio (USHINDI series). These drivers are considered one of the best in the world due to their ultra-low harmonic distortion technology, providing incredibly clean and natural midrange sound.
- High-frequency section: AMT (Air Motion Transformer) ribbon tweeter with powerful neodymium magnets. It delivers crystal-clear high-frequency detail without the sharpness typical of conventional dome tweeters.
- Waveguide: The tweeter is integrated into a precision-calculated aluminum waveguide, optimizing the sound directionality diagram.
Specifications and Connectivity
The system boasts an impressive 200W power output (at 4 Ohms) and a frequency range from 45 Hz to 22,000 Hz. High-quality gold-plated terminals are located on the rear panel, supporting banana-type connections and ensuring a reliable signal contact without loss.
The Loewe Inicio works perfectly in combination with the Loewe Multi.room Amp amplifier, creating a compact yet extremely powerful and musical system for those who are not willing to sacrifice sound quality for space savings.
