Description

The SPDIF iPurifier device is, in a way, a farewell nod to SPDIF devices, including the Genesis Digital Lense processor. Thanks to the latest AMR/iFi technologies, it is compatible with the range of SPDIF signal sources available on the market today. It takes on any barely distinguishable "square wave" and, using REclock®/Regenerate® technologies, returns the signal to its real form with perfect contours.

From Apple TV to Google Chromecast, from PS4/Xbox to 4K Smart TV, the SPDIF output is the main output for digital audio signals. Like any mainstream product, the quality of delicate SPDIF signals is significantly degraded during transmission. The SPDIF iPurifier device processes the SPDIF signal through four complex conversion stages, resulting in a fully restored SPDIF signal with suppressed jitter. The result is sound quality that possesses superior warmth, resolution, and dynamic contrast.

Signal waveform restoration and complete jitter elimination

The output signal of SPDIF devices is a digital signal. According to industry quality control standards for digital signals, it should look like a "square wave" (on an oscilloscope screen). However, the signal may be anything but "square", resembling a jagged wave instead. By passing through the four main cascades of the SPDIF iPurifier device, the signal waveform is restored to its ideal form.

Bit-perfect sound on all fronts

AMR/iFi is proud of its achievements in providing bit-perfect signal transmission. This means that the signal remains unchanged in its original state. The SPDIF iPurifier device ensures the transmission of bit-perfect signals, which is highly unusual for SPDIF devices. It can handle frequencies of 44.1 / 48 / 88.2 / 96 / 176.4 / 192 kHz, depths from 16 to 24 bits, DSD/DoP format, and even Dolby Digital and DTS signals.

The SPDIF iPurifier device is equipped with coaxial and optical inputs, as well as coaxial and optical outputs. It works with almost every SPDIF component, from mainstream devices like Apple TV to transporters and audiophile-level DACs.

Galvanic isolation

The SPDIF iPurifier device has no equal. One of its key aspects is its unparalleled galvanic isolation. While such isolation could be found in the original Digital Lense, which retailed for US$1800 in 1996, the SPDIF iPurifier takes it to the next level. Galvanic isolation transforms the signal from one form to another, eliminating random noise. This is the main factor behind the SPDIF iPurifier's ability to eliminate signal pollution caused by noise.

Global Master Timing® synchronization and memory buffer

AMR's global master timing synchronization technology and memory buffering system provide a truly unique sequential digital solution that eliminates the problem of jitter in the SPDIF signal once and for all. The intelligent memory system stores a large number of complete sound samples, allowing it to completely neutralize extensive variations (jitter and drift) present in the incoming signal while continuing to transmit data with a fixed and precisely set clock frequency, regardless of the variations in the incoming sync signal.

The most important aspect of the GMT synchronization system is its extremely low jitter level. The clock system is based on a quartz generator that can generate millions of different frequencies with an accuracy of no worse than 0.001 Hz, and its pulse duration is <300 femtoseconds. Thus, if the frequency value shifts from 192000002 Hz to 192000003 Hz within a minute (drift), which is the minimum value capable of having a value, the GMT clock generator will sensibly and accurately track this change. This is the central technology behind the SPDIF iPurifier device.

iPower technology: "Less noise than a battery"

Since the SPDIF iPurifier device has a 5V power supply, it is crucial that it comes from a "noiseless" power source. Therefore, all SPDIF iPurifier devices come with their own iPower device (5V). With a noise level of 1uV, iPower belongs to the family of virtually noiseless DC power sources. It has low power consumption and low noise levels.
