The Hegel C53 is a 3-channel power amplifier (3 x 150 W at 8 Ohm) from the Custom range. With up to three channels of 150-watt analog amplification (per channel), it is suitable for virtually any existing speakers. The ability to individually switch the phase for each channel or select different gain coefficients for each channel makes the amplifier very easy to integrate into larger systems.
Features:
- 3-channel power amplifier (3 x 150 W at 8 Ohm)
- Minimum impedance: 2 Ohm
- Signal-to-noise ratio: 100 dB
- Frequency range: 5 - 100,000 Hz
- Support for SoundEngine 2 technology
The design incorporates the patented SoundEngine 2 technology, which has numerous advantages. One of them is the use of low idle current, meaning that the powerful class A/B amplifier does not heat up like a regular one, allowing it to be installed in a 19-inch rack.
Another advantage of SoundEngine 2 is its very high damping factor (over 2000). The higher this factor, the deeper the bass and better control of the low-frequency drivers the amplifier can provide. This is one of the reasons why Hegel amplifiers are known for their dynamic sound. Another crucial factor is the low level of distortion. The Hegel SoundEngine 2 technology operates similarly to noise-canceling headphones. Any distortion elements created in the amplification circuits are dynamically suppressed by an anti-phase signal. So, no matter how you configure your amplifier, it will always deliver outstanding soundstage with incredible dynamics.
The trigger input and output (allowing chain creation) provide the possibility of placing the amplifier in a separate room without worrying about individual power on/off. The amplifier has a height of 132 mm, and sturdy mounting "ears" are integrated into the body. When installing in a rack, it is recommended to leave space above and below. Additionally, detachable and adjustable "ears" are provided on the rear panel.
