Genelec 8350A is an active two-way nearfield monitor designed for use in both stationary and mobile studios, post-production, streaming, and can also be used as a personal monitoring system. The cabinet is made of a specially shaped cast aluminum using MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) technology, while weighing comparably to competitors made of MDF and composite materials.

The Genelec 8350A features an 8" woofer with a cone and a 1" tweeter with a metal dome. The drivers are shielded magnetically, providing a flat frequency response and a wide sound dispersion angle. The monitor offers a range of modern proprietary technologies, such as DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide), which adjusts the waveguide configuration to the amplifiers. On the rear panel of the monitor, there is a specially designed round port tube, providing a more saturated lower frequency range.
The Genelec 8350A uses a bi-amp scheme: the signal is separately amplified for low and mid frequencies, and separately for high frequencies. The monitor also includes an active crossover with a split at 1.8 kHz. The total power of the amplifiers is 350W (150+200). The analog input on an XLR connector is located on the rear panel, along with digital input and output on AES/EBU. The system includes the most advanced adaptive monitoring technology Smart Active Monitoring (SAM). The Genelec Loudspeaker Manager 2.0 (GLM) software allows for precise calibration of up to 30 intelligent monitors and a smart subwoofer to facilitate multi-channel setup.
The AutoCal application compensates for the impact of room parameters and helps calibrate settings for your specific listening environment, whether you are working in stereo or surround. There is also a standby mode with a switch: ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) technology helps monitor the signal and instantly power on the device, consuming less than 0.5W in standby mode.
