The Genelec 8020DWM features an aluminum enclosure with a large internal volume, made using the patented Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE™) technology, which minimizes diffraction. The rounded edges of the enclosure provide exceptional mechanical strength for an aluminum material. The monitor also utilizes the proprietary Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) technology for smooth response on and off-axis.
Equipped with power amplifiers, filters, and protective circuitry, the 8020 DPM studio monitor offers high reliability and quality transmission in a compact, durable aluminum casing. The rounded edges and sound quality ensure an optimal spatial stage and a wide listening area. Despite its small size, the 8020 DPM features a long bass reflex port for accurate and deep bass reproduction.
The monitor can be adapted to the room's acoustic conditions with switchable filters to significantly improve listening conditions. The IsoPod stand can be tilted and adjusted for the best listener position. The auto-start function automatically turns on the monitor when an audio signal is detected.
