In a sturdy housing made of wood fiberboard, the 7382AP houses three specially designed 15-inch low frequency loudspeakers with a high SPL of up to 130 dB with low distortion and minimal power compression. Combined with laminar flow, the bass reflex port, the subwoofer provides precise bass articulation at frequencies down to 15 Hz.
Features:
- Three 15" drivers;
- External modular class D amplifier;
- DSP processor;
- 7.1 input and output;
- Balanced LFE input and output;
- XLR digital input and output;
- Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) adaptive monitoring technology;
- AutoCal technology compensates for room geometry effects;
- Optional calibration with GLM calibrator.
The electronics are integrated into the remote amplifier module RAM-SW, individually calibrated to the supplied subwoofer. The module contains active crossover filters, digital signal processing algorithms, overload protection, and a 2500 W class D amplifier. Analog and AES/EBU digital input-output, as well as a separate LFE (Low Frequency Effects) analog input, offer a flexible set of connection options that support distributed bass management technology.
The SAM series 7382AP subwoofers integrate with the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software (free download available separately), which allows for calibration, tuning, and control to compensate for room/acoustic anomalies, address subwoofer placement issues, and achieve a flat frequency response. Built to withstand rigorous professional use, the electronics, drivers, and 7382AP housing were designed, assembled, tested, and individually calibrated at the Genelec factory in Finland.
Package includes:
- Subwoofer;
