The compact active subwoofer Genelec 7350A is designed to complement two- and multi-channel audio systems based on Genelec active monitors. The subwoofer features an 8" (205 mm) low-frequency shielded driver housed in a cabinet with the patented Laminar Spiral Enclosure (LSE) design, including a phase inverter.

The LSE design consists of a spiral metal sheet placed between two MDF panels. The side slot serves as a phase inverter that, combined with the optimal geometry of the cabinet for sound waves, operates more efficiently than traditional designs. Additionally, this type of cabinet offers high rigidity and is virtually free of internal resonances. The driver is powered by a 150 W Class D amplifier. This combination, along with precise matching of the driver and cabinet, allows for low frequencies starting from 22 Hz (-6 dB). Protections against overload, short circuit, or overheating of the electronic circuit are also included.
The Genelec 7350A subwoofer incorporates the advanced Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) technology with AutoCal calibration. The Genelec Loudspeaker Manager 2.0 (GLM) software allows for precise tuning of up to 30 intelligent monitors and a smart subwoofer to facilitate multi-channel setups. The AutoCal technology compensates for room geometry effects, enabling perfect calibration for your listening environment. The subwoofer has balanced XLR inputs and outputs for five-channel surround sound systems, along with a separate balanced LFE input whose crossover frequency can be set using SAM. It features an integrated Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) standby mode switch, consuming less than 0.5 W in standby mode.
Since the subwoofer is placed between the surround sound processor and active satellites (if not using a separate LFE input), it includes necessary balanced pass-through outputs. The full-range signal is passed to these outputs without filtration, requiring the corresponding circuits to be activated in the satellites themselves. This allows for optimal adjustment of each channel based on the specific system configuration.
