The external audio interface Focusrite Clarett 2Pre Plus is designed to connect to a computer via a USB port. With 10 inputs, including 2 XLR/TRS connectors on the Clarett microphone preamps, and 4 outputs, it meets the needs of even the most demanding performer. The device provides ultra-low latency, which is sufficient for real-time use of DAW plugins.
The new Clarett microphone preamps have very low noise and distortion levels, as well as an "Air" mode that emulates the effect of the signature transformer-based ISA preamps. Each combo input has 48V phantom power for microphones and gain control. The 24-bit high-quality A/D converters allow for clean and clear sound recording with a dynamic range of up to 118 dB (A/D) on the microphone input and 119 dB (D/A) on the line output.
The audio interface also supports a sampling rate of up to 192 kHz. The inputs and outputs of the Clarett 2Pre Plus are equipped with built-in protection against voltage spikes. The control elements of the audio interface indicate the gain level - green indicates a normal level, while red indicates overload. The free Focusrite iOS Control app allows for remote control of the device using iOS devices. The package includes Focusrite Control, which is designed for easy monitoring and routing setup. In addition, the package includes the Red 2 and Red 3 AAX, AU, and VST Plug-in Suite, which simulate the signature equalizer and compressor.
