FiiO R7 - Desktop Network Player
The FiiO R7 is a stationary network player that offers the same functions as the high-resolution M11Plus player, plus two THX-AAA 788+ headphone amps, a 4.4mm balanced headphone output, and FiiO's first XLR line output. This product is designed for easy desktop use.

The R7 delivers premium sound thanks to its high-quality components. FiiO R7 features the ESS ES9068AS digital-to-analog converter, which supports PCM playback up to 768kHz/32-bit and DSD512. The THX AAA-788+ headphone amplifier, developed in collaboration with THX, includes two blocks of this amp scheme, providing powerful output of 3,000mW (at 32 ohms/balanced output) and a low noise level with a 122dB signal-to-noise ratio. It offers up to five gain settings, a 4.4mm/4-pole XLR balanced headphone output, FiiO's first XLR line output, and a LAN port.
Independent amplifiers process the left and right channels, resulting in improved channel separation and reduced interference from components. High-quality components such as Panasonic film capacitors and high-capacitance tantalum capacitors are used in the circuitry.
The R7 is powered by Qualcomm's 8-core Snapdragon 660 SoC, which delivers low noise and high stability, along with 4GB of RAM. FiiO R7 supports bit-perfect playback of various applications and runs on Android 10 with FiiO's custom operating system.
The R7's DC power mode is available to enhance sound quality with a high-quality external power supply. It features a microSD card slot that supports up to 2TB and can also read files from USB storage devices.
Bluetooth Wireless Capabilities
The Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connection supports high-quality codecs such as AAC, SBC, and LDAC for both receiving and transmitting. It also supports aptX, aptX HD, and LHDC codecs. It is Hi-Res certified for both wired and wireless connections, making the Fiio R7 a future-proof device.
8 Operational Modes
This desktop device offers a choice of eight operational modes.
- Android: allows installation of any application
- Pure music: exclusive mode by Fiio

4 Scenarios
The device offers 4 scenarios where the Fiio R7 can serve as the central hub of a multi-functional desktop audio system. To avoid confusion between different usage scenarios, a switch is located on the front panel above the volume control, displaying the 4 scenario modes of the device.
- PO + Pre Out: active front headphone outputs and rear preamp outputs (default mode)
- PO: only active front headphone outputs
- Pre Out: only active rear preamp outputs with volume control
- LO: only active rear line outputs with fixed volume
Vertical Display for Streaming
The bright 5-inch display is designed for vertical orientation when using streaming services.
Additional Display
The unique DP mode allows you to connect an external portable display or tablet for convenient visual control.
The main control element is the high-quality touch screen on the front panel. However, it also supports Fiio Music, the company's proprietary app for controlling the device from a smartphone. Remote control operation is also possible. Additionally, a PC version of the app has been developed for more convenient usage in that mode.
