Bass Section:
The low-frequency section is represented by a pair of 5-inch (13cm) drivers with carbon fiber diaphragms. The main phase inverter port is located on the front panel, providing more flexibility when installing the speakers in a room. The bass band is limited above 400 Hz, and to ensure the midrange driver can reliably match at such a low point, an additional phase inverter with a rear port helps.
Midrange Driver:
Courbet N 5 is equipped with a midrange driver capable of true mastery. The voice coil is elongated (to maintain constant energy even under heavy excursion), the bullet is replaced with an inert dust cap (to ventilate the driver core and thus cool it)... as a result, we get an ultra-ventilated driver capable of reaching down to the bass while significantly reducing its distortion. The midrange driver has a Kevlar diaphragm.
Soft Dome Tweeter:
The tweeter in this series (TW28LD) perfectly complements this new driver. Created with the same goal of transparency and accuracy, it is powered by a very thin cable made of pure copper with a Teflon sheath. The 28mm textile dome is impregnated with a damping compound, the reinforced magnetic system has air channels to cool the voice coil. The rear radiation of the dome is directed into a narrowing waveguide, suppressing resonant peaks. The tweeter operates in the range of 4 - 25 kHz with minimal nonlinearity.
