The Clavia Nord Grand is a digital stage piano with a premium weighted keyboard and enhanced triple sensor key movements that capture hammer movements with incredible precision.
This is the first stage piano with triple sensors tracking hammer movements, not key movements. The instrument features a sensitive hammer-action keyboard from Kawai with 88 keys made of ivory. The "ivory" surface adds optimal sensitivity to touch and authenticity to the sound. The Nord Grand digital stage piano includes a large array of sounds in the Grand, Upright, Electric, and Digital categories, presented in the Nord Piano tone library. The factory sound bank includes 10 piano sounds, 9 piano variations, 10 updated electric piano tones, clavinet, and other musical instruments from the Nord Piano Library. Modern sampling technologies capture the slightest nuances of sound and the true character of the original instruments with captivating realism.
Sounds can be replaced with others using the Nord Sound Manager, a free replenishable program for Nord instruments. The Sample Synth section includes an expanded list of high-quality sounds from the Nord Sample Library 3.0, which can be replaced using the Nord Sound Manager. The synthesis section has the necessary controllers for adjusting decay/release, dynamics, and special Category buttons for quick sample selection. With the Nord Sample Editor, you can create and upload your own samples. The effects section includes Tremolo, Phaser, Chorus, Pan, Wah, RM, Flanger, Vibe, EQ, Delay, and Reverb. Reverb is available in three different types.
