Chord Electronics Anni is a compact desktop amplifier that marks a significant milestone in the company's history as it is the first amplifier to incorporate the highly regarded Ultima circuitry in a compact form factor.
By introducing Anni to the market, Chord Electronics is venturing into new territory. This amplifier retains all the innovation and expertise of Chord Electronics' amplifier designs but in a miniature size, weighing only 625g. Anni is perfectly suited to complement other 16cm components in the Qutest series, such as the Qutest DAC and the Huei phono stage, and can be conveniently used in the specialized QSS rack.
Anni is not intended to replace the amplifier in your hi-fi setup. Instead, it is designed to bring High-End audio quality to your desktop when using a laptop or computer as your audio source, either with headphones or close-range speakers. Consequently, the functional features of this amplifier are tailored to its desktop application, eliminating the need for excessive power output, remote control capability, or multiple source connections.
Chord Electronics Anni delivers up to 10W per channel to speakers using a two-stage gain adjustment, and incorporates the trademark Ultima error correction circuitry with dual direct feedback. Whether used as a headphone amplifier or a compact speaker amplifier, Anni possesses the ability to drive any headphone load with error tracking and interference compensation. It provides both 3.5mm and 6.35mm outputs, allowing for the connection of multiple headphones, enabling the sharing of quality sound with another listener.
The front panel of the amplifier features colored input selection and gain coefficient buttons, along with a volume control. The housing of the amplifier is constructed from black aluminum and is meticulously crafted using CNC machines.
