A three-digit multifunction display briefly lights up with each command input, allowing control of the front surround sound system. The display turns off during operation. By learning the TV remote's infrared code, Canton Sound L can be controlled with just one remote control. The 2.1 Virtual Surround system offers lip sync function, can reduce volume differences with dynamic range compression, or improve speech intelligibility with tone function.
The automatic on/off switch detects signals on the optical or coaxial digital input and automatically starts the Canton soundbar after turning on the source device. After the source is turned off, Canton Sound L enters standby mode after approximately 30 seconds. Canton Sound M features basic Dolby Digital and DTS decoders and is configured acoustically as a triphonic system. If the built-in subwoofer lacks power or bass depth, an external subwoofer can be connected using the low-level output. Signal source connections are straightforward: analog RCA, optical, or coaxial inputs.
