The Pro XL.3 model is a versatile system that can be used indoors as well as outdoors. It features a 2-way design with a closed cabinet construction made of rubberized plastic, providing protection against moisture and external elements. The woofer is mounted on a special elastic suspension allowing for significant excursions, resulting in a solid deep bass response.
The tweeter features a soft dome, powerful magnetic system, and enlarged voice coil, offering an extended frequency range (up to 26 kHz) and precise sound reproduction in the audible spectrum. The Canton Pro XL.3 comes with a mounting bracket allowing for easy installation on any flat surface.
These monitors perform best at low to medium volumes, as higher levels may introduce noticeable cabinet resonances. The systems excel in the mid and high frequencies, where the amount of information reproduced is maximized. While the tweeter may seem overly active in some cases, its detailed performance creates a truly immersive atmosphere. The midrange is highly informative and accurate, while the lower bass remains defined without sounding lightweight due to a smooth roll-off.
