Grand Luna stands apart as the first earphone in our line to feature a hybrid, planar-balanced armature driver configuration. Carefully applying the strengths of each of these driver types to deftly reveal depth and intricate detail while still providing a sound that is rich and sonically satisfying.

Featured in different iterations in two of our well-loved planar IEMs, Astrolith and Supermoon, this new version is the cutting edge of planar technology. Customized and carefully tuned by Campfire’s acoustic engineering team, Grand Luna’s planar targets low and mid frequencies and applies its signature, vast dynamic range and rapid transient response.
A unique combination of size and speed, this 14mm planar creates rich impact and texture alongside accuracy and precision that maintains separation and imaging. Campfire’s experience in developing planar magnetic IEMs is applied to create a unique sense of smoothness and easy-listening, limiting planar technology’s tendency to approach harshness and sibilance.
A first in Campfire IEMs, Grand Luna’s two premium balanced armatures orbit its central planar driver to accent and contribute their classic speed, detail, and resolution. The culmination of this driver combination and Campfire’s careful acoustic engineering, bringing Grand Luna’s high frequency extension to incredible heights of 30 kHz, adding an ethereal resonance while impressively defying a fatiguing high end.
Grand Luna’s exterior finish features a hand-treated and textured stainless steel lid. First delicately flame-treated by hand to achieve a colorful gradient, and then carefully brushed by Campfire technicians to remove undesirable edges and blemishes, leaving behind a beautiful, organic CA logo and a pleasing, durable, brushed finish.
This meticulous process reflects the craftsmanship and care put into every facet of Grand Luna; from engineering, to hand-assembly, to QC, packaging, and shipping, all done with care by our small team in Portland, Oregon.
Grand Luna incorporates Campfire’s Additive Acoustic Optical inclusion (AAOI) housing. This housing features carefully engineered acoustic routing, spatially shaping the performance and frequency response of Grand Luna’s high-performance drivers. 3D-printed and internally dyed, Grand Luna’s transparent shell reveals its internal components in a brilliant red finish.
Easily swap terminations between 3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, and a premium USB-C DAC. With six conductors and a blend of pure copper and silver, Grand Luna’s cable provides an even-keeled frequency response with powerful resolution, detail, and staging. Wrapped in a soft, durable PVC jacketing with aluminum termination housing, y-split, and chin cinch, our new interconnect cable is a perfect companion to your Grand Luna.
