Like other VM models, the VM510CB cartridge is equipped with two magnets positioned to provide optimal separation of left and right stereo channels, as well as reproduce sound in a wide frequency range. The conical stylus has a radius of only 0.015 mm and deeply penetrates the record groove, ensuring reliable and accurate tracking. The aluminum stylus holder in the VM510CB cartridge has very low mass with good anti-resonance characteristics. To increase the output signal level without narrowing the coil's dynamic range, the cartridge features an original para-toroidal winding that maximizes the conversion of mechanical vibrations into audio signals.
For further improvement of stereo signal separation, necessary for creating a natural soundstage, the left and right channel sections inside the cartridge are shielded with a plate.
