Audio-Technica AT-LP8X is a vinyl player with direct semi-automatic drive, equipped with a new tonearm lifter that automatically lifts the tonearm at the end of the record and stops the motor.

The aluminum J-shaped tonearm, inspired by classic A-T models of the 1960s and 70s, comes with a new AT-LT10 shell and AT-VM95E BK (black) cartridge with elliptical stylus size 0.3 x 0.7 mil for excellent channel separation and low distortion to achieve superior sound quality. The stylus can be easily replaced with any of the five additional VM95 range styli, and vertical tonearm angle adjustment and additional weight allow for use with a wide range of other cartridges.
The AT-LP8X plays records at speeds of 33-1/3, 45, and 78 RPM. Its 25mm anti-resonance aluminum die-cast platter with a 2.5mm rubber mat is driven by a sensor-controlled motor, ensuring consistent and precise rotation speed. The motor and efficient internal pulse power supply are housed in an MDF base with height-adjustable feet for excellent protection against unwanted noise and vibration.
The player comes with a removable RCA cable, 45 RPM adapter, and a removable hinged dust cover.
Automatic Shutdown Feature
The AT-LP8X tonearm automatically lifts at the end of the record, and its motor stops - a rare feature for a direct drive player. This allows you to enjoy music in a relaxed atmosphere without worrying about when the record will end.
AT-VM95E Cartridge
The AT-VM95E cartridge is compatible with any Audio-Technica VM95 series replacement stylus, allowing for easy experimentation with different stylus profiles for higher quality sound or switching to the AT-VMN95SP stylus for 78 RPM records.
Resonance Stability
The sturdy MDF player base, adjustable feet, thick anti-resonance die-cast aluminum plate with rubber damper, and 2.5mm rubber mat reduce unwanted noise and vibrations, allowing you to enjoy music in all its detail.
