The diamond-tipped needle is attached to a durable cantilever. The conical tip shape with a large radius curvature at the edge (radius of 3 mil) allows for playback at 78 RPM. Therefore, using VMN70SP allows for playing both modern vinyl and rare shellac records. The open rectangular design of the needle shank allows for precise positioning of the diamond.
The cartridge design is engineered to minimize resonances and distortions, achieved through the use of a sturdy aluminum body and carefully considered internal geometry. This allows the AT-VMN70xSP to reproduce clean, natural sound with a wide stereo field and excellent channel separation. The device's high sensitivity ensures a good output signal with minimal noise.
