The Arturia KeyLab Essential 61 MK3 is a professional MIDI keyboard with 61 velocity-sensitive keys. This device fully integrates with the virtual synthesizer Analog Lab V and supports most modern digital workstations. The keyboard can be used by musicians, arrangers, and producers in recording studios and production, at home, as well as during live performances.
The Arturia KeyLab Essential 61 MK3 is also a convenient MIDI controller, with the third generation of devices featuring an updated design with advanced intuitive controls. It comes with presets for Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, Bitwig Studio, and has wide compatibility with MCU and HUI protocols. In the center of the controller, there is a large informative 2.5" display with four navigation parameter control buttons. The built-in arpeggiator allows switching between modes - Scale, Chord Play, Arpeggiator (with presets), and Hold.
On the left side of the controller, there are 8 KeyLab Essential pads with RGB backlighting, allowing users to assign samples to them, launch clips, and assign any other functions. The pads are also pressure-sensitive. Next, there are illuminated DAW transport control buttons, allowing switching between recording mode or sequenced playback. On the right side of the device, there are 9 assignable encoders and 9 faders. They can be used to control parameters of virtual synthesizers, adjust volume levels, and envelope parameters.
The hybrid synthesizer-piano keyboard is equally convenient for both performing and arranging in the studio and has high responsiveness. Classic pitch bend and modulation wheels are also available. To connect to a computer, there is a USB-C port on the back of the device, and a 5-pin DIN MIDI output for connecting to external synthesizers or sequencers. A 1/4" Jack TRS input is available for connecting sustain or expression pedals. The device supports Windows (10 and above) and macOS (10.13 and above) operating systems. The package includes a USB cable for connection and a registration card. The device weighs 3.08 kg. Additionally, the package includes a bundle of free software available for download from the Arturia website, which includes Ableton Live Lite, Analog Lab V, UVI Model D, Native Instruments The Gentleman Piano, subscription to Loopcloud, and subscription to Melodics.
