Audio signals are reproduced by an 8-inch polypropylene woofer and a 1.9-inch U-Art ribbon tweeter with an HPS waveguide, providing a rich and detailed high-frequency range and allowing for high sound pressure levels up to 118 dB with minimal distortion. The Bi-Amp amplifier operates in Class D and provides 70W to the woofer and 20W to the tweeter. The crossover frequency is set at 2.6 kHz, and the overall frequency range covers 33 Hz - 25 kHz.
To optimize sound in different spaces, a 2-way EQ for low and high frequencies is available, with switches at positions of -2, 0, and +2 dB. Balanced and unbalanced inputs are provided for connecting audio sources, with XLR and RCA connectors, respectively. There is a sensitivity switch of +4 dBu/-10 dBV for professional and consumer equipment, respectively. A rear-panel port for a bass reflex is located on the back of the enclosure.
The ADAM T8V is an affordable and powerful monitor, featuring a low-frequency range down to 33 Hz, allowing for use without a subwoofer, incredible high-frequency detail, and a clean and balanced overall sound. The monitor can be successfully used for mixing and listening to both electronic and live music. A power cable is included in the package.
