The ADAM S3H is a professional active three-way midfield studio monitor designed for professional studios, musicians, and music enthusiasts. It is part of the S series from the German manufacturer ADAM Audio. One of the main features of the monitor is the tri-amp configuration, which means that the signal for low, mid, and high frequencies is individually amplified. The monitor utilizes Class D and A/B amplifiers: 500W is provided for each woofer, 300W for the midrange driver, and 50W for the tweeter. It reproduces the full frequency range of high-resolution audio with high clarity and crystal precision.

The two 7” Extended Linear Excursion (ELE) woofers in the ADAM S3H are specifically designed for the S series monitors. The hexagonal HexaCone driver uses an aramid-plastic core with a honeycomb structure. The front and back of the cone are coated with kevlar, which helps the woofer resist deformation. HexaCone is a much stiffer material compared to traditional paper, polypropylene, or aluminum used in most drivers of similar sizes. This stiffness prevents distortion and damage to the cone, while the effective length and diameter of the voice coils, combined with the magnet sizes and cabinet volume, are precisely aligned for optimal low-frequency reproduction.
The 4” midrange driver DCH features a unique hybrid dome/cone construction for accurate midrange reproduction, while the handmade proprietary ribbon tweeter ADAM Audio S-ART 2.2” delivers captivating high frequencies and expands the sound field. A specially designed Class A/B amplifier drives the tweeter. The off-axis responses of the tweeter and midrange drivers remain extremely accurate thanks to proprietary waveguides made of solid aluminum – MPS (midrange) and HPS (high frequency). The result is a stable and wide dispersion, ensuring that multiple listeners can be in the sweet spot at the same time, which is essential for group work.
Connectivity options include XLR connectors: one analog input, one digital AES3 input, and one AES3 output. An OLED display on the rear panel shows settings.
