The ADAM S2V is a professional active 2-way nearfield studio monitor designed for professional studios, musicians, and audiophiles. It is part of the S series from the German manufacturer ADAM Audio. One of the main features of this monitor is the dual amplification scheme (bi-amp): separately amplifying the low and mid signals, as well as the high frequencies. Class D and A/B amplifiers are used, with 300W dedicated to the woofer and 50W to the tweeter. This monitor reproduces a full frequency range of high-resolution audio with crystal-clear clarity.

The 7" Extended Linear Excursion (ELE) woofer in the ADAM S2V was specially developed for the S series monitors. It features a hexagonal HexaCone driver with an aramid-plastic core in a honeycomb structure. The cone is coated with Kevlar on the front and back, which helps the woofer withstand deformation. The HexaCone material is much stiffer than traditional paper, polypropylene, or aluminum, providing distortion-free performance. The effective length and diameter of the voice coils, along with the magnet size and cabinet volume, are precisely balanced for optimal low-frequency reproduction.
The signature ribbon tweeter ADAM Audio S-ART 2.2", handcrafted in Berlin, delivers captivating high frequencies and expands the sound field effectively. A specially designed Class A/B amplifier is used for the tweeter. The off-axis responses of the high-frequency driver remain extremely accurate due to the proprietary aerospace-grade aluminum waveguide (HPS). This ensures stable and wide dispersion, allowing multiple listeners to experience optimal sound at the same time, which is beneficial for group work. Connectivity options include XLR ports: one analog input, one digital AES3 input, and one AES3 output. The rear panel also features an OLED display for settings.
