The Yamaha RX-A4A 7-channel AV receiver features a rugged design that highlights the hidden power within. Built on a new anti-resonance ART chassis, components are strategically placed to minimize interference. The powerful network transformer and output amplifiers are located in the front of the unit, while sensitive input circuits are positioned in the back near the connection block.

The front panel of the Yamaha RX-A4A features an original design with a large volume control knob in the middle, input selector, and touch-sensitive buttons. Despite its unique appearance, the AV receiver is user-friendly even for beginners. It can be controlled using the full-featured remote or the proprietary mobile app.

The Yamaha RX-A4A is equipped with a 64-bit proprietary sound processor with intelligent Surround AI control. It supports all popular surround sound formats, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Users can customize sound settings using Cinema DSP based on their preferences. The YPAO system provides automatic calibration based on listening conditions and connected speakers. The discrete amplifiers ensure high signal speed for natural sound reproduction.

The Yamaha RX-A4A model features seven HDMI inputs and three outputs with support for 8K video and HDCP2.3. It also offers a variety of digital and analog inputs, including a connection for MM phono cartridges and a USB port for portable drives. Streaming capabilities are available via Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections, with support for popular online services, high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/384kHz (PCM) and DSD 11.2MHz, and MusicCast multi-room technology. The ES9007S DAC ensures an extended sound range and minimal distortion.
