The model is built on an anti-resonance chassis and equipped with damping feet to protect its circuits from external vibrations. The power amplifiers in the Yamaha R-N800A are made with discrete components and feature high-current transistors in the output stages. They deliver 2 x 100W (8 ohms) and have a high damping factor, ensuring compatibility with even "difficult" speakers. Both channels are mounted on separate boards to eliminate crosstalk. The Yamaha R-N800A is equipped with two optical and two coaxial inputs, as well as a USB-C port for signal transmission from a PC. The ESS SABRE ES9080Q DAC processes digital data up to 32-bit / 384 kHz and DSD 11.2 MHz.
The analog section in the Yamaha R-N800A includes three line inputs and a MM phono input for a turntable. On the back panel, there are preamp and active subwoofer outputs. Two pairs of switchable speaker outputs allow for sound in two rooms, and music can also be enjoyed using headphones.
The network functionality in the Yamaha R-N800A includes DLNA content playback, as well as compatibility with MusicCast and AirPlay technologies. Connection to the network can be done via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. There is also a built-in Bluetooth receiver that can work for both receiving and transmitting signals.
