The Yamaha NS-555 acoustic system is specifically designed for home theaters. These floor-standing speakers can be used as the main channel and include 20 cm conical PMD woofers, 13 cm conical midrange drivers, and 2.5 cm aluminum dome tweeters.
- Waveguide Horn
When finishing theater rooms, sound-absorbing materials are used on walls and ceilings. This ensures that the sound reaching your ears is produced by the speakers, not reflected off the walls. Yamaha has developed special waveguides that reduce the amount of reflected sound and increase the direct sound waves reaching your ears. - Monster Cable
Yamaha ensures optimal sound quality for some components using Monster Cable. This provides a clean, clear signal from the crossover to the speakers.
- Magnetic Shielding
Speakers with magnetic shielding can be placed in close proximity to a TV or monitor without affecting the image.
- Bi-Wiring Connection
To maintain signal purity, Yamaha provides a Bi-Wiring connection for the NS-555 speaker system. There are separate terminals for the woofer and other drivers. This separation reduces modulation distortion and improves sound quality.
