ToP-ART circuitry and ART Base support optimal sound quality. When audio signal processing and transmission are simple and direct, the likelihood of negative effects of noise and distortion on the signal decreases. Yamaha's amplifier design technology, known as ToP-ART, features a symmetrical construction with direct signal transmission from input to output, where the left and right channels are organized in a straight symmetrical scheme for maximum signal purity.
In addition, the ART (Anti-Resonance and Tough) Base chassis and solid center bar provide reliable support and vibration damping thanks to high rigidity. These design enhancements from Yamaha contribute to obtaining rich and truly musical sound.

Pure Direct mode for pure sound
In Pure Direct mode, signals travel through the shortest possible path, bypassing the buffer amplifier, tone controls, tone compensation, and balance, virtually eliminating degradation of signal quality and ensuring the cleanest sound.
Tone control regulator
The A-S501 model features a new analog tone control regulator on the front panel: the electronic circuit used in it allows adjusting the tone compensation effect to improve sound quality as desired. This regulator sets the balance of low and high frequencies independently of the overall volume control, providing a full tonal range and thereby compensating for the natural loss of hearing perception of certain parts of the timbral component at low volume.
Digital audio inputs for TV and Blu-ray player
The amplifier is equipped with optical and coaxial digital audio inputs. The optical connector is designed to receive audio signals from the TV, while the coaxial input is for the Blu-ray player. The signal remains in the digital domain, ensuring pure, dynamically rich sound from any source: from sports and other programs to movies and concerts.
Bluetooth adapter YBA-11 connection port
With the YBA-11 adapter, you can wirelessly stream music from a Bluetooth-compatible mobile phone, tablet, or PC using the amplifier's built-in network audio signal receiver. Thanks to the presence of a digital connection and the aptX® audio coding algorithm, optimal sound quality is ensured. For simplified power supply of the adapter, its connection to the amplifier's DC output is provided on the rear panel.
Ability to select A, B, or A+B speakers and terminals for connecting two pairs of speakers
You can connect two separate sets of speakers installed in different rooms and either switch between them or play them simultaneously. Four terminals are provided for connection, and you can switch between two pairs of terminals to choose the desired sound source.
Subwoofer connector
A connector is provided for connecting a subwoofer, allowing you to enhance the low-frequency component of the audio system's sound to make the overall sound more powerful and high-quality.
Connector for connecting a turntable with an MM cartridge
You can connect a turntable with an MM (moving magnet) cartridge. This allows you to use the amplifier with its latest technical capabilities for listening not only to CDs but also to analog recordings.

Simple and intuitive remote control
The simple and intuitive design of the remote control allows you to perform all necessary operations with one hand (for example, adjust the volume or set the track playback order). The remote, like the amplifier, has an elegant finish with fine "hairline" lines. The remote can also control a Yamaha CD player.
Rotary input selector with LED indicators
This rotary switch allows you to quickly and easily select input signal sources. Its luxurious "hairline" finish provides pleasant tactile sensations. LED indicators indicate the selected signal sources, making it easy to switch between them even in the dark.
Automatic standby mode switching feature
The amplifier features a power management function that, even when powered on, detects when the unit has not been used for an extended period (approximately 8 hours) and initiates automatic standby mode switching. Therefore, even if you forget to turn off the unit, power consumption is minimized.
