Warwick Acoustics Bravura are open-back electrostatic headphones with handmade drivers. The company Warwick Acoustics has introduced the open-back headphones Bravura, which use 1.5 kV electrostatic voltage as required by the electrostatic working principle of Bravura. In open-back headphones, sound vibrations are transmitted by the HPEL driver with a diaphragm mass of only 0.5 g with an area of 3,570 mm2.
The basis of the novelty is the handmade HPEL drivers. They have a diaphragm area of 3,570 mm2 and a weight of 0.5 g. The developers state that the upgraded drivers are produced using a new technology with improved materials. The upholstery is hand-sewn, with sheep wool serving as the filling for the ear pads.
Each HPEL is handmade - this time, according to the manufacturer's claims, using improved materials and updated technology. The housings are made of pressure-cast magnesium, and the design of Bravura is almost entirely borrowed from the flagship Aperio headphones. The finish is hand-sewn, and the ear pads (also handmade) are filled with Cabretta sheep wool.
The signal to the headphones is transmitted through a special cable with ultra-low capacitance, manufactured in collaboration with Atlas and Lemo companies. The cable is reinforced with Kevlar for durability.
