Description

Violectric HPA V222 is a headphone amplifier. The amplifier is an evolution of the award-winning HPA V200. It offers a natural and pleasant sound that made the previous model famous.

Features:

  • Extremely low noise level
  • Increased internal voltage for easy driving of high-impedance headphones
  • High damping factor
  • Pre-amplification from -18 to +18 dB
  • ALPS RK27 volume control (Made in Japan)
  • High-quality operational amplifiers
  • Output power of 2800 mW at 50 Ohms and voltage of 23.2 V at 600 Ohms
  • The power supply has a toroidal transformer with an output capacitance of 22,000 pF

High output power:

Thanks to innovative technologies used in the Violectric amplifier, it has become the winner of numerous tests among headphone amplifiers. The HPA V222 amplifier was designed to provide maximum sound quality for headphones of any impedance. Thanks to technology optimized specifically for dynamic headphones, it was possible to minimize noise in the circuit and achieve a low level of distortion, meeting the high standards of the Hi-End.

The internal circuitry operates with low sensitivity, providing minimal internal circuit noise that is virtually imperceptible to the ear during listening. The internal circuit voltage level is increased to 50 volts, making the amplifier an ideal partner for high-impedance headphones. More than 90 percent of amplifiers on the market operate with internal voltages that are more than half as low as the HPA V222. This model has a discrete amplification circuit.

Violectric HPA V222 offers exceptional versatility. The analog inputs consist of an unbalanced RCA stereo input and a balanced XLR input. For headphones, the front panel features balanced XLR, 4.4 mm Pentaconn, and 6.3 mm connectors.

The amplifier has both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs with adjustable levels, which can be used simultaneously.

After selecting the input with a special controller, the signal is sent to a buffer amplifier to achieve a low-impedance state. Then, the signal is directed to the volume control, followed by the power amplifier.

German quality:

The exemplary level of assembly quality guarantees excellent listening quality. Thanks to its easy type of connection, the HPA V222 is the perfect central control element in a complex home audio system.

Additional circuits protect the devices from direct current, overload, or overvoltage and delay the power-on process to protect the headphones. All components are meticulously assembled by hand and housed in a sleek, black anodized aluminum enclosure with a front panel thickness of one millimeter.

Power output

This is the useful power developed by the amplifier in the load resistance. Amplifiers are usually characterized by the highest power that can be obtained at the output, provided that the distortion does not exceed the specified permissible value. This power is called the output power of the amplifier.
