Thanks to the innovative technologies applied in the Violectric amplifier, it has become the winner of numerous tests among headphone amplifiers. The amplifier in the DHA V590 V2 PRO was developed to provide maximum sound quality for headphones with any impedance. Thanks to the technology optimized specifically for dynamic headphones, it was possible to minimize noise in the circuit and achieve a low level of distortion, which meets the high requirements of Hi-End.
The internal circuitry operates with low sensitivity, providing minimal internal circuit noise, which is practically imperceptible to the ear during listening. The internal circuit voltage level is increased to 50 volts, making the amplifier an ideal partner for headphones with high impedance levels. Over 90 percent of amplifiers on the market operate with internal voltages more than half of that of the DHA V590 V2 PRO. This model features a discrete, separate amplification circuit with eight transistors per channel.
Thanks to the wide range of connection options, the Violectric DHA V590 V2 PRO possesses exceptional versatility. Optical connection, USB port, and coaxial input, as well as AES/EBU connector, are available as digital inputs. The analog inputs consist of two unbalanced stereo RCA inputs. The analog outputs are divided into balanced and unbalanced connectors. And for headphones, the front panel provides balanced 4.4 mm and XLR connectors, as well as the classic 6.3 mm.
The V590 V2 has both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) outputs with adjustable level (preamp output), which can be used simultaneously. The output amplification can be adjusted in several stages, and the RCA outputs can also be configured as fixed-level outputs (FixOut). There are three unbalanced line inputs (RCA) available for input. The manual volume control using the RK 27 potentiometer (Made in Japan) allows for adjustment of channel balance values and ensures clean sound with minimal impact from cross-interference. The built-in power supply, free from noise and humming, utilizes a design with a toroidal transformer and high-capacity capacitors.
As a special function for the unbalanced output (RCA), the "pre fader" or "post fader" can be set. "Post fader" means that the volume control affects the output signal level. "Pre fader" means that the buffered input signal is sent unchanged to the unbalanced output (RCA). This setting can be useful when the unbalanced output (RCA) is connected to a device with its own volume control, such as a headphone amplifier.
After selecting the input with a specialized controller, the signal is passed to a buffer amplifier to achieve a low impedance state. Then the signal is directed to the volume control, followed by another buffer amplifier. Finally, the signal reaches the output operational amplifiers, which can be adjusted to different output levels using internal mini switches. Depending on the type of headphones, the level adjustment can be done using the pre-amplification switches on the rear panel of the amplifier.
The exemplary build quality guarantees superior listening experience. With a variety of connection options and commutation, the V590 V2 PRO is the perfect central control element in a complex home audio system.
To meet the high standards of Hi-End, Violectric consistently pays great attention to the selection and processing of components. The signal, after conversion using the ES9026 PRO chip, passes through the Alps RK27 volume controller, which features eight transistors for unbalanced headphone amplifier channels and 16 transistors for the balanced channel.
Additional circuits protect the devices from direct current, overload, or overvoltage, and delay the power-on process to protect the headphones. All components are carefully hand-assembled and housed in a slim case made of black anodized aluminum with a millimeter-thin front panel.
Control the device using the stylish remote control, made from a solid piece of aluminum. With the remote control, you have access to the motorized volume control, mute function, input signal selection, resampling settings, headphone control, and line output. The V590 V2 PRO version features a volume control with a 256-step relay using precision resistors.
