Can they set up the production of a compact hybrid amplifier - inexpensive, but with the corresponding Vincent quality? Many have asked this question, many have asked to put this into practice. The engineers of the company thought about it and answered by developing the "people's" amplifier - Vincent SV-500.
Features:
- Tubes used: 1 x 12AX7, 2 x 6N1;
- Frequency range 20 Hz - 20000 Hz;
- Signal-to-noise ratio: 90 dB;
- Harmonic distortion ratio 0.1%;
- Headphone connection: 6.3 mm.
Based on the successful SV-227 integrated amplifier, Vincent SV-500 was taken as the basis for the new "mini" hybrid amplifier. Vincent SV-500 is similar to its older brother not only in appearance, but also in circuit design. The only significant change is in the set of tubes used. The audio signal at the input passes through preamplification cascades on two 6N1 tubes and one 12AX7, and the power amplification is entrusted to four Toshiba output transistors.
The power supply unit of the new model is distinguished by a different power transformer - toroidal, with a power of 110 W. In the smoothing filter, two capacitors with a capacity of 20,000 μF are used. Vincent SV-500 is equipped with four analog inputs (RCA connectors) and two digital inputs (RCA and optical). There is also an adjustable preamplifier output (for example, for connecting a subwoofer) and a recording output. The stylish appearance is complemented by a stylish remote control with an aluminum body.
The "small" amplifier in terms of sound quality surpasses others - regardless of size. The tube preamplification cascades of Vincent SV-500 provide warmth and naturalness in reproduction. The transistor output gives power and scale, and thanks to the energy-efficient power supply unit, the sound is not limited in dynamics.
