Advancements in the characteristics of modern signal sources demand higher requirements for all elements of the reproduction system, starting with the amplifiers. Traditional classic tube cascades and the characteristics of low-level tubes, such as ECC81/82/83/88, are becoming a restraining element in improving the quality of amplification.
In the Vincent SA-T7 preamplifier, the amplification of input signals using a tube circuit has been taken to a new level of quality, thanks to the patented Best Pentode circuit developed by engineer Frank Bleibuam. This new circuit is characterized primarily by significantly reduced levels of tube noise in pentode operation and high gain compared to triode operation. This allows for optimal use of the characteristics of the applied tube - the wideband high-sensitivity pentode CV6189. Since these tubes were widely used in high-frequency technology, the company acquires them from unused NOS stock. The tubes are designed for continuous 24/7 operation in transmitters, making them extremely reliable, with the English factory that produced them guaranteeing a lifetime exceeding 10,000 hours.
To convert impedance in the circuit, a 6S3P-EV triode, a Russian military acceptance tube from the scheme of a fighter jet MIG's onboard radar, is used. The Best Pentode circuit is powered by the company's engineers' low-noise power supply with special Vimala modules (translated from Sanskrit as "pure, transparent").
For sound tuning to individual preferences, the preamplifier has a tone control block on CV6189 and 6S3P-EV tubes, also powered by the Vimala module. The adjustment of high and low frequencies can be completely disabled if desired. The output stage has an extremely low and purely resistive output impedance (1 Ohm), allowing the output signal to be practically independent of the load impedance and cable parameters. For convenience of connection, there are two outputs: 50 Ohm and 600 Ohm.
The result of applying the new Best Pentode scheme together with the unique Vimala power block is a high-linear preamplifier with low noise and distortion, as well as excellent impulse characteristics. All this ensures high-quality music reproduction. Vincent takes pride in its SA-T7 preamplifier, the pinnacle of the company's achievements, the result of years of experience in developing advanced tube amplifiers.
