Vincent SA-32 is a preamplifier from the German company Vincent Audio. It was released as an improved version of the previous model SA-31 and is designed to be used as an intercomponent device for managing power amplifiers and audio sources.
Features:
- Tube model: 4x6N16;
- Frequency range: 20 Hz - 20 kHz (+/- 0.1 dB);
- Nonlinear distortion coefficient: 0.001%;
- Signal-to-noise ratio: 90 dB;
- Inputs: 5 x RCA, 1 x XLR;
- Outputs: 1 x Stereo RCA Rec Out, 2 x Stereo RCA Pre Out, 1 x Stereo XLR Pre Out.
The basic design largely repeats the construction of its predecessor Vincent SA-31. However, some new options have been added to the preamplifier, its circuits have been improved, and the preamplifier has been completely rebuilt, including increasing the size of the enclosure. Another visible change is a different set of connectors. With Vincent SA-32, along with the usual RCA inputs and outputs, there are also balanced terminals.
The "loudness" function has been replaced with the ability to reduce the amplification coefficient. Now, with a switch located on the front panel, you can reduce it by 8 dB. This allows you to connect various power amplifiers with higher amplification coefficients to the preamplifier without any problems.
In addition, instead of the two 6N16 type tubes used in the SA-31 model, SA-32 now uses four tubes. The first two tubes are placed in the input stage. The other two tubes are located in the output stage after the tone control. The resulting sound delivery becomes more natural and accurate, also providing better dynamics and more musicality.
