Description

Technologies, old and new, combine to make the Victrola Stream Onyx a turntable for the future.

Key Features:

  • As one of the first turntables that, ‘Works with Sonos’
  • The Victrola Stream App (Android / iOS) allows easy setup and adjustments
  • Solidly constructed from MDF for low distortion sound, the Stream Carbon upholds the high standards set by Sonos
  • Carbon tonearm
  • Supplied with Audio Technica AT95E cartridge
  • Connect the vinyl turntable with Sonos devices via ethernet or gold-plated RCA ports for a wired connection, or wirelessly over Wi-Fi
  • 2-speed, belt-driven turntable with Victrola silicone slipmat plays all your favorite 33 1/3, and 45 rpm vinyl records
  • The Stream Carbon features a high-quality metal construction and a sleek, modern design

The Victrola Stream Onyx follows on from their ‘Carbon’ model in offering wireless connectivity to your Sonos speaker system. With a simplified arm, cartridge and construction, the Onyx model offers vinyl streaming to Sonos at the best value price yet.

As a ‘Works with Sonos’ turntable, the Victrola Stream Onyx syncs directly with your Sonos speakers. Rather than using an interconnect or Bluetooth, it uses wi-fi to smoothly integrate with your Sonos ecosystem. It’s so well integrated that you can even control it via the Sonos app.

Set up is easy via the dedicated Victrola control app. This lets you adjust the signal delay and switch between the wireless and wired connections. Once you’ve set it up, simply use the multi-award-winning Sonos app to adjust the tone, volume and room designation – just as you’re accustomed to with other Sonos products.

With standard RCA phono connections and a built-in phono pre-amp, the Stream Onyx turntable also connects to any hi-fi source or speaker system with an Aux input. This is perfect for switching between a Sonos system for multi-room music and a dedicated hi-fi system.

Solidly constructed, the Stream Onyx delivers a smooth and distortion-free sound. It has all the depth and warmth that you’d expect from this analogue format, without many of the downsides that can afflict cheaper and less substantial decks.

The highly reviewed AT95E cartridge is one of the best in its class. Renowned for its well-balanced and natural sound, it makes a great partner for the Stream Onyx.

The minimalist Sonos style is matched by this turntable, with its matte black finish pairing especially well with the black Sonos products and contrasting with the white models. Take a closer look and there are some neat details. The illuminated volume control gives tactile and direct volume control. The stylish dustcover lifts off the deck when in use, reducing resonance from the lid but also emphasising the smooth lines.

Seamless introduce the joy of vinyl to your Sonos system, with the Victrola Stream Onyx.
