The Under Wood Snowstorm 2 is a headphone stand made of gunstock laminate. This material boasts exceptional durability and environmental resistance, and its composite structure gives its products a unique appearance.
Features:
- Durable composite material
- Natural birch veneer
- Protection against moisture, mold, pests, and rot
- Light and heat resistance
Colored composite material, also known as gunstock laminate (Laminated gunstock blanks), is a technology that emerged in the mid-20th century as an alternative to wood for the manufacture of wooden firearms components. The obvious reason for the development of gunstock laminate is the instability of wood structures of any type under various dynamic and thermal loads.
This ARMOWOOD® gun laminate, manufactured by Under Wood, is a unique product created through the combination of two technologies.
- Through, full-thickness (1.5 mm) birch veneer dyeing
- Solid, durable gluing of veneer bundles in high-frequency presses
This combination of technologies allows for the creation of any color combination, while the composite itself possesses excellent consumer qualities:
- Unique strength characteristics
- Light and heat resistance
- Moisture protection
- Aesthetic appeal
ARMOWOOD® gun laminate has many advantages over wood. For example, wooden blanks must be dried using a special technology; otherwise, the wood will begin to shrink, crack, and change size. ARMOWOOD® laminate is made from dry birch veneer and cannot be "raw" or "overdried." When gluing the veneer sheets together, the laminate is impregnated with resins that protect the material from mold, pests, and rot.
ARMOWOOD® gun-grade laminate is a highly moisture-resistant composite. After the ARMOWOOD® laminate product undergoes the final sanding stage, it is impregnated with a special mineral oil, which further protects the surface. ARMOWOOD® gun-grade laminate products will last for many years and will delight the eye thanks to their unique color combination.
