The double album Quadrophenia is the sixth studio work of the legendary band The Who. The album was released in the autumn of 1973. The record is a social rock opera that examines the problems of the youth of Britain in 1964-1965. The authorship of all the compositions belongs to one of the band members - Pete Townshend. Quadrophenia has been repeatedly included in the honorary lists of music albums by leading magazines: Q - 56th place among the "100 greatest British albums", number 266 in Rolling Stone's list of the "500 greatest albums of all time", IGN - 1st place in the list of "greatest classic rock albums".
The Who is a rock band from Great Britain, formed in 1964, playing in the genres of rock, hard rock, art rock, power pop. The ensemble in a changed line-up (Roger Daltrey + Pete Townshend) still exists and performs regularly.
