"Greatest Hits" is a reissue of the compilation album by The Cure, released in 2001.
The release was released specially for RSD 2017 on picture disc.
The band's relationship with their longtime partner Fiction Records was ending, and as a result, The Cure was set to release their final album for Fiction Records. Robert Smith agreed to release a greatest hits album on the condition that all of the songs on the disc would be hand-picked by him.
Subsequently, the disc included the best songs played by the group over 25 years of existence, and two new hits - "Cut Here" and "Just Say Yes". All songs were specially rearranged for the collection.
