Description

The SR-X9000 headphones are based on the legendary flagship SR-Omega models. They come with a luxurious packaging and wooden box. The appearance of the headphones evokes very nostalgic memories among STAX fans worldwide. The sound quality compared to the Omega has become cleaner and warmer.

The flagship model is the pinnacle of achievements among electrostatic headphones. The SR-X9000 offers a new sound that surpasses the SR-009. The headphones feature a four-layer fixed electrode MLER-3. By combining a large metal mesh, STAX has developed a new multi-layer electrode. The metal mesh reduces air resistance and reflection effects, and also has high sound transparency.

Thus, the mesh is the ideal material for fixed electrodes. Until now, this technology has been difficult to manufacture and has not been used in fixed electrodes. However, the diffusion bonding technology developed during the production of the SR-009 and SR-009S allows the use of the mesh.

The diaphragm is made of ultra-thin plastic film. Thanks to its weight savings close to zero, it achieves excellent transient characteristics. The linearity of the sound has improved from the lowest to the highest frequency range. The diaphragm area has increased by 20% compared to the SR-009S. This breakthrough provides the widest soundstage in the history of STAX headphone manufacturing.

The housing of the sound unit is made of durable processed aluminum. This new design firmly secures the transducer and completely eliminates unnecessary vibrations. The sound wave from the device flows more smoothly. Improved acoustic characteristics inside the housing provide more detailed sound that is not affected by reflections.

In previous models, the protective mesh installed parallel to the radiating element generates direct reflections that adversely affect the sound. This problem is completely solved in the SR-X9000. The mesh has front and back poles of different lengths. This design changes the height of the gap between the radiator and the protective mesh. Therefore, it cannot be parallel to the radiator, and the angle of reflection is perfectly controlled.

The main material of the headband structure has been replaced with stainless steel. The headband is more resistant to adjustment, and the earpads fit more securely to your ears. The material of the headband that directly contacts the skin is made of genuine leather. The position can be adjusted using sliders with a 9-step fixation system.

The earpads are made of natural sheepskin leather, which provides excellent ventilation and softness. Genuine leather allows the earpads to fit snugly to your ears, and you can fully enjoy high-quality and vibrant sound. This design also reduces fatigue, allowing you to comfortably listen to music for extended periods of time.

The cable core material is ultra-pure annealed copper 6NCu (0.14x3). The remaining conductors in the cable are silver-plated annealed copper (0.08x9). This improves the entire frequency range. Two sets of detachable cables of different lengths are included. The storage case is made of paulownia wood, which has low thermal conductivity and the ability to maintain the necessary environment. This case is the best solution for storing headphones.
