Stax SRM-T8000 introduces a new line of amplifiers, indicated by the "T" index. This fully balanced hybrid amplifier encompasses the company's years of experience and the best technologies.
The SRM-T8000 sets a new standard for STAX's flagship amplifiers. It is the company's best amplifier in over 20 years. The amplifier delivers a more open and dynamic sound compared to the previous flagships, the SRM-727 or SRM-007t, when paired with the SR-009 and SR-007 headphones. The design is classic STAX and meets the expectations of future owners. For those who only want to use STAX amplifiers, there is no better choice.
The first stage features a dual triode 6922, and the transistor output stage operates in Class A. To eliminate external interference and vibrations, the electronic tube of the first stage is placed in a separate shielded and dampened module.
For the first time in STAX's practice, a large toroidal transformer and a non-magnetic chassis made of aluminum alloy are employed. This ensures an extremely low level of noise and precise and rich sound reproduction. The amplifier has the ability to disconnect its own volume regulator if the volume is adjusted at the signal source.
