The diameter of the microphone capsule 013 is 25 mm - too large to be considered small-diaphragm, but at the same time small enough to be classified as large-diaphragm capsules - that's why it is in the "middle". Its design allows it to capture the best of both small-diaphragm and large-diaphragm capsules: realistic transient and high frequency response, as well as a balanced and rich low end, making the 013 series microphones the most versatile in the Soyuz microphone line.
They can be used anywhere: from drums to piano, from acoustic guitar to double bass, from snare drum to orchestra; they can even be a great choice for some vocalists.
