The slim form-factor of the SUB is versatile: place this subwoofer vertically or lay it on its side. Sonos has also provided the SUB with better memory and processing power so it can automatically receive new integrations, increased security, and more updates.
Setting up this subwoofer is also easy. Simply connect the power cable, open the Sonos app, and you're ready to go. You can even expand your Sonos system with Wi-Fi streaming and wirelessly connect the subwoofer to other speakers.

Sonos Arc Ultra
The Sonos Arc Ultra model is a more powerful version of the original Arc model, and it is the first Sonos product equipped with unique Mayht transducer technology. The Sonos Arc Ultra has a total of fourteen speakers - three more than the original Arc - and they include seven tweeters. Seven precisely angled silk dome tweeters create clear highs and crisp dialogue. Two of them are upward-facing, creating dedicated height channels for spatial sound, six mid-range speakers, and an integrated low-frequency driver, the Sound Motion - a four-motor dual-membrane low-frequency driver that delivers exceptional bass in a revolutionary flat compact design.

Sonos claims that with this set of speakers, the new soundbar is capable of independently reproducing sound in a 9.1.4 format. The Sonos Arc Ultra soundbar is also expected to provide clearer dialogue thanks to an "enhanced version of the speech enhancement function." It supports Trueplay equalizer tuning, including for Android users, as well as Bluetooth audio playback, which is not available in the original Arc. The far-field microphone array uses advanced beamforming and multichannel echo cancellation for quick and accurate voice control and Trueplay tuning adjustments. The microphones can be disabled by turning off the microphone switch.
Like other Sonos soundbars, the Arc Ultra can be connected to Sonos Ace headphones for individual sound listening from any input source connected to the Arc Ultra. The soundbar is a visually appealing cylindrical column that measures 118 cm in width, 8.6 cm in height, and 11.5 cm in depth. It is available in black or white colors, and the Sonos Arc undoubtedly looks and feels like a premium product. The high-quality grille and touch-sensitive control buttons add extra sophistication to the column. Like other Sonos speakers, the Arc Ultra supports Apple Airplay 2 and Spotify Connect.
According to Sonos, one of the main "features" of this soundbar is its user-friendly design. It has only one input port, HDMI. However, I see some potential issues with this. The Arc soundbar uses HDMI eARC to receive audio from your TV, including in Dolby Atmos format. ARC, or Audio Return Channel, is a technology that allows streaming apps built into the TV, as well as connected signal sources, to transmit audio to the soundbar via an HDMI cable. Essentially, you connect the Arc soundbar to your TV's HDMI ARC port, and other AV sources to other HDMI inputs on the TV. As a result, all the sound in your system will pass through the soundbar. If your TV does not have HDMI inputs, you can also connect the Sonos Arc via an optical cable (in Dolby Digital format).
