Sonos Amp
The Sonos Amp has a built-in Wi-Fi module, easily integrates into the Sonos wireless ecosystem, and facilitates the organization of a multi-room installation. The Sonos Amp can be conveniently controlled using the Sonos app, allowing users to adjust tones and adjust the volume individually for each amplifier in a specific room. Various online services are available, including TuneIn, Spotify, and more. The network player supports the AirPlay 2 protocol and plays streaming audio from Apple devices with Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as files from audio libraries on computers and NAS servers within the local network. Up to 32 Sonos components can be combined into a single network and playback can be controlled from one point using a tablet or smartphone.

The Sonos Amp can be connected simultaneously to two speakers (of any manufacturer) using wired methods, as well as wireless Sonos speakers placed in different rooms. Users can stream audio signals from streaming services to all these speakers. The Sonos Amp also has a line input for a CD player, turntable, or any other similar device, allowing music from these sources to be streamed to connected speakers.
Like other Sonos products, multiple new amplifiers can be grouped together, playing the same music in different zones. The manufacturer emphasizes the power of the Sonos Amp - 125 W per channel at 8 Ohms. According to Sonos, this power is sufficient even for large floorstanding speakers, promising loud and very clean sound without noise or distortion.
Advantages over the previous model Sonos Connect:Amp include the presence of an HDMI ARC connector, allowing sound to be transmitted from the TV to the speakers. For example, the amplifier can be used in a home theater: two front speakers can be connected by wire, as well as two rear speakers and a wireless Sonos subwoofer, creating a 2.1-channel system. This system can be expanded using additional wireless Sonos speakers.
The Sonos Amp model impresses with its strict and concise design, reminiscent of early generations of CD players or a smaller version of a vinyl turntable. The front panel features a device status indicator and touch controls for playback, volume level, and other functions. The cooling system is interestingly organized, using the aluminum chassis of the case as a radiator. The model can be placed in a rack or mounted on the wall using special mounting brackets.
The package includes an optical adapter for HDMI, which is useful for TVs with optical output but lacking an HDMI port with ARC support. There are four specialized terminals for the speakers. Wireless pairing with speakers such as the Sonos One is supported, and when using two Sonos Amp models, a 4.1-channel audio system can be created with wired speaker connections. The Sonos Amp can also be switched to mono mode if needed.
Package includes:
- Amplifier;
