The kit comes with a protective case for storage and transportation, which has a separate compartment for all the microphones, mounts, and clamps. The included microphone models are: 1 x PGA52, 2 x PGA56, 1 x PGA57, 2 x PGA81.

Features:

  • 6-microphone kit for drum set
  • All mounts for stands and clamps for drums included
  • Convenient protective case for storage and transportation
  • Microphone characteristics for different tasks
  • Cardioid directional pattern

PGA52 - for bass drums:

The PGA52 is a dynamic cardioid microphone designed for accurate capture of low frequencies. It is ideal for recording and live performances. The microphone holder has a special lever that allows for quick and easy microphone positioning.

Frequency response: 50 - 12000 Hz Output impedance: 150 Ohms Sensitivity: -55 dBV/Pa (1.75 mV)

PGA56 - for snare drums and toms:

The PGA56 is a dynamic cardioid microphone designed for accurate sound capture from drums and other percussion instruments, even at close range. It is suitable for both recording and live performances. Like the PGA52, the PGA56 microphone holder has a special lever for quick directional adjustments.

Frequency response: 50 - 15000 Hz Output impedance: 200 Ohms Sensitivity: -57 dBV/Pa (1.45 mV)

PGA57 - instrument microphone:

The PGA57 is a dynamic instrument microphone with a cardioid directional pattern, designed for recording and capturing sound from combo amplifiers, toms, and snare drums. It also works well with brass instruments. The kit includes a holder for mounting the microphone on a stand.

Frequency response: 50 - 15000 Hz Output impedance: 150 Ohms Sensitivity: -56.5 dBV/Pa (1.5 mV)

PGA81 - stereo pair for overheads:

The PGA81 is a cardioid condenser instrument microphone designed for capturing sound from a wide range of instruments. It is suitable for recording both drums and acoustic string instruments, as well as piano. In this kit, two PGA81 microphones are used as a stereo pair for capturing the spacious, authentic sound of the entire drum set. Phantom power is required.

Frequency response: 40 - 18000 Hz Output impedance: 600 Ohms Sensitivity: -48.5 dBV/Pa (3.8 mV) Maximum sound pressure: 129.5 dB

Included in the kit:

  • PGA52 microphone for bass drum - 1 piece
  • PGA56 microphone for toms and snare drums - 2 pieces
  • Instrument microphone PGA57 - 1 piece
  • Instrument microphone PGA81 - 2 pieces

Impedance, Ohms

No higher than 32 Ohms for smartphone headphones. When using a good player or amplifier, it can be up to 100 Ohms. For stationary models you should coordinate the impedance with the amplifier power

Microphone polar pattern

Omnidirectional, cardioid and supercardioid. It determines the sensitivity of the microphone to sound relative to the direction or angle, i.e. shows how well the microphone "hears" sound from different sides

Glossary of terms
cardioid

The polar pattern of the microphone that picks up the sound in front of it.

Словарь терминов
Microphone type
dynamic

The membrane of a dynamic microphone picks up sound waves, which make a coil located in a magnetic field move.

Словарь терминов

condenser

A metal membrane consisting of plates (a condenser) oscillates under the influence of sound air flows converting a sound wave into an electromagnetic one.
