ME80 is the result of the work of highly skilled audio engineers at Shanling, who have gone through a series of unique iterations, carefully tuning a multitude of components and subjecting each device to rigorous testing to ensure high quality.

The headphones housing is made of a 6000 series aluminum alloy. The smooth, matte surface consists of two parts that fit together precisely. The sound tube is part of the housing and ends with an aluminum grille, which also acts as a filter. A CNC machine is used during production for high-precision processing of metal surfaces.
The driver used is the third generation of dynamic drivers, fully developed by Shanling. The design with two magnets and a composite diaphragm has more energy and improved response, allowing it to also obtain the Japanese Hi-Res Audio certification by reaching high frequencies of up to 40 kHz.
