The heart of the EA5 Plus is a digital player system that gives you easy access to a wide range of streaming services or works with your music library. Insert a MicroSD card, connect an external hard drive, or link the EA5 Plus to your local Wi-Fi network for music playback. All of this can be controlled remotely from an app on your phone.
Inside the EA5 Plus are two amplifiers. The headphone amplifier offers up to 570mW at 32 ohms, ideal for audiophile headphones, using a full-size 6.35mm output. The second is a Class D ICEpower 100AS2 amplifier for speakers with 100W at 4 ohms per channel. The EA5 Plus is the perfect choice for your desktop setup, allowing you to easily switch between headphones and speakers.

Separate Power Sources: To achieve perfect sound in such a complex device, Shanling engineers have separated the power source into two sections. Analog components are powered by a small and highly efficient toroidal transformer paired with high-performance German capacitors, resulting in a cleaner and smoother sound.
The digital section is powered by a switching power supply with a specially designed voltage stabilization scheme to minimize unwanted noise and interference.
Highest Standards of Digital-to-Analog Conversion: Shanling selected the classic AKM AK4493EQ DAC for the EA5 Plus to ensure smooth and natural sound. Combined with a high-quality power source, playback capabilities in high resolution, and 33 years of design experience, the device owner gets true Hi-Fi sound.
Analog Power: Based on the proven OpAmp+BUF audio architecture, the EA5 Plus features a newly developed 2-channel balanced amplifier circuit that provides low distortion, perfect control, and impressive output power.
Two active quartz generators from Japan KDS and an enhanced Shandling algorithm ensure more accurate signal timing and effectively reduce jitter. Each channel uses a TPA6120A2 amplifier from Texas Instruments, chosen for their impressive performance with low distortion and high slew rate.
Four gain levels help match headphones of different types with the amplifier, from in-ear monitors to full-size headphones. Precision film resistors with 0.01% accuracy and Panasonic tantalum capacitors are used in the analog circuits.
Wireless Streaming Capabilities: The EA5 Plus offers high-speed wireless connectivity with Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5GHz for high speeds and reduced interference. It provides two-way Bluetooth connection for convenient music streaming from your phone or when using Bluetooth headphones or speakers. Transmission support: LDAC, LHDC, aptX HD, aptX, SBC. Reception support: LDAC, SBC.
In addition to built-in streaming apps, the EA5 Plus can also be used in your local network. It supports DLNA/UPnP and AirPlay protocols, allowing access to files stored on network devices like computers, NAS, or smartphones. By offering full mirroring of the display, you have access to all EA5 Plus functions without leaving your seat.
The Eddict Player app, available for free download on Android and iOS devices, allows you to control the EA5 Plus from your smartphone or tablet. With an ergonomic and intuitive graphical interface, you can easily access music and device functions.
Thanks to AGLO (Android Global Lossless Output) technology, music from any app is processed correctly and in full quality, without degradation from Android system processes.
