The accuracy that immerses you in music
The IE 900 allows you to connect with your favorite music in a way that other earphones cannot. From the optimized 7-millimeter transducers to the innovative X3R resonator chamber technology and the high-precision aluminum housing - every aspect of the IE 900 is designed to provide the utmost in pure and natural sound. IE 900 - goodbye to compromises
The IE 900 unlocks the true potential of any recording. Brilliant, sparkling high frequencies without any hint of sibilance. Powerful low frequencies that don't overshadow the midrange. Its exceptional ability to reveal fine details, along with warmth and comfort for extended listening, are all the result of the company's engineering achievements. The 7 mm Sennheiser driver has been significantly improved for the IE 900. A completely new three-chamber damping system, X3R, milled directly into the rigid aluminum housing with an acoustic funnel, has also been employed. Together, these innovations provide a unique level of balance and transparency, so you will never have to compromise again.
Explore every detail
The designed and manufactured in Germany XWB driver provides exceptionally natural reproduction. Its precise transient response is determined by the unique combination of diaphragm materials together with its high internal damping. Therefore, when the signal stops, the sound stops as well. This allows the IE 900 to reveal details in tracks that you may know inside and out. The tonality of each instrument becomes distinctly discernible. The IE 900 not only reveals the skills of musicians – even the acoustic properties of the room take on a new presence.
The best fit for precise sound
Sennheiser engineers were inspired by the comfort and secure fit of professional monitors when creating the IE 900. Now you can enjoy the quality and convenience that is on par with professional solutions. The IE 900 comes with both silicone and foam ear tips in three different sizes. They adapt to the natural shape of your ear, ensuring an ideal fit.
New Level of Clarity
When developing the IE 900, the choice was made in favor of a single high-quality dynamic driver. In order to achieve the exact sound that the company was aiming for, engineers designed a complex system of three Helmholtz resonators - X3R. It is embedded directly into the sturdy aluminum housing of each earphone. These tiny channels eliminate resonant peaks that can color the sound signature and alter the perception of your music in less advanced products. Additionally, the intricate nozzle structure of each earphone - the funnel - twists the acoustic flow to further smooth out the peaks. The goal of Sennheiser was to achieve a transparent sound without distracting peaks or dips. To achieve this, clear separation of the low and mid frequencies is required. To ensure precision in the critical frequency range, engineers utilized a rear acoustic chamber. This is a small chamber inside the driver that they tuned to control the decay and amplitude of the bass. The rear chamber helps achieve such clarity and natural sound by controlling the volume and direction of the air flowing through the transducer system. What you hear is well-controlled bass and mid frequencies. Unpleasant resonances and listening fatigue simply disappear.
Highest Quality Sennheiser
Sennheiser exclusively manufactures the IE 900 at its German factory, ensuring outstanding quality that is renowned worldwide. Aluminum was chosen as the material for producing the IE 900 due to its suitability for precision milling, as well as its aesthetic appeal and durability as a housing for electroacoustic components. Each housing is cut from a solid piece of aluminum using a five-axis precision CNC machine. The anodized casing provides high resistance to wear and corrosion.
Good connectivity pays off
Audiophiles appreciate not only superior sound but also durability, and once again, the IE 900 delivers. The gold-plated Fidelity+ MMCX connectors ensure perfect contact. The recessed socket, with a width of 4.8 mm, is located below the surface of the casing, giving the cable relief from tension. The cables themselves are reinforced with para-aramid to withstand constant bending (further protected by the included storage case). Connect to almost any audio source with the 3.5 mm stereo jack. The IE 900 also comes with a pair of balanced cables with 2.5 mm and 4.4 mm connectors for direct connection to Hi-Fi components with symmetrical outputs.
