Description

The EW 100 G4-865-S radio microphone system is designed for singers, speakers, and musicians. The handheld transmitter with a built-in switch and the MMD 865 dynamic microphone capsule is perfect for professional live sound. The half-rack receiver in a full-metal housing with an intuitive LCD display features two audio outputs for connecting a sound system or audio recorder. The built-in IR interface allows for easy synchronization between the transmitter and receiver. The transmitter's output power of 30 mW provides a range of up to 100 meters.

Features:

  • Half-rack receiver for split signal operation in a full-metal housing with an intuitive LCD display for complete control.
  • Easy and flexible wireless synchronization between transmitter and receiver via IR interface.
  • Quick frequency distribution between 12 receivers using a new linking feature.
  • Up to 20 compatible channels.
  • Bandwidth of up to 42 MHz, 1680 selectable frequencies, fully adjustable in a stable UHF range.
  • Transmission range: up to 100 meters.

Experience state-of-the-art live sound with the renowned Sennheiser e 865 capsule on a lightweight aluminum transmitter with a built-in sound switch.

The EM 100 G4 receiver is presented in a compact half-rack housing, making it easy to mount in a rack module as a pair of these devices take up only the space of a 1U housing. Mounting accessories are included for rack installation. It features two detachable antennas with BNC connectors that provide precise signal reception and a wide working range. Connection to a mixing console or guitar amplifier is made through two outputs, balanced and unbalanced on XLR and 1/4" Jack TS connectors respectively. The system allows for flexible configuration, offering up to 20 compatible channels, a bandwidth of up to 42 MHz, and a noise suppression function with three modes: low, medium, and high. Several buttons and a large LCD display reflecting all the relevant parameters are located on the front panel for easy adjustment. It is possible to connect up to 12 receivers simultaneously in one system, with each having two RJ10 ports for synchronization. It is powered by a 12V DC adapter.

The SKM 100 G4-S handheld transmitter with a power switch on the body is combined with the MMD 865-1 microphone capsule, which is a condenser capsule with a supercardioid polar pattern. The condenser type has higher sensitivity, linear frequency response, and more natural sound compared to a dynamic microphone. The supercardioid capsule ensures effective feedback and ambient noise suppression located to the sides of the capsule, as well as excellent sensitivity to the signal in front and to a lesser extent behind it. The maximum sound pressure can reach 152 dB, and the frequency range extends from 80 Hz to 18 kHz. The transmitter's power is 30 mW. It is powered by two AA batteries, and the continuous operation time depends on their quality, which can reach up to 8 hours. The package also includes the MZQ 1 microphone clamp for a stand.

The Sennheiser EW 100 G4-865-S-A1 is a professional vocal radio system that allows for wireless microphone communication without the need for additional equipment. The system features a wide operating range, convenient and simple control, and variable configuration. The following accessories are included: MZQ 1 microphone clamp, power adapter, two antennas, rack mounting kit, two AA batteries, and an RJ10 cable.

Package includes:

  • SKM 100 G4-S handheld transmitter.
  • MMD 865-1 microphone capsule.
  • EM 100 G4 stationary receiver.
  • GA 3 rack mounting kit.
  • MZQ 1 microphone clamp.
  • Documentation.

Microphone polar pattern

Omnidirectional, cardioid and supercardioid. It determines the sensitivity of the microphone to sound relative to the direction or angle, i.e. shows how well the microphone "hears" sound from different sides

Glossary of terms
supercardioid

The polar pattern of the microphone, which picks up the sound from the front and partially from the back.
