Description

The Sennheiser E609 is an instrumental dynamic microphone that possesses excellent transient response. Its horizontally mounted capsule has been specifically designed for capturing the sound of a guitar at a very close distance to the source. The E609 is also suitable for drum and tom miking, where the microphone's profile allows for close placement to the drumhead. Optimized for this specific task, this model allows for achieving a very high-quality sound. Furthermore, thanks to its supercardioid polar pattern, the model provides excellent isolation from other signals on stage.

Features:

  • Durable metal body
  • Enhanced mounting design
  • Noise-compensating coil

Package includes:

  • Microphone
  • Carrying pouch
  • MZQ 100 mounting clamp.

Impedance, Ohms

No higher than 32 Ohms for smartphone headphones. When using a good player or amplifier, it can be up to 100 Ohms. For stationary models you should coordinate the impedance with the amplifier power

Microphone polar pattern

Omnidirectional, cardioid and supercardioid. It determines the sensitivity of the microphone to sound relative to the direction or angle, i.e. shows how well the microphone "hears" sound from different sides

Glossary of terms
supercardioid

The polar pattern of the microphone, which picks up the sound from the front and partially from the back.
